If you eat meat, chances are you love a good burger.

Whether it's wood-fired, charcoal grilled, or seared in its own fat on a flattop, nothing beats the taste of ground up meat between two buns and the sensation of grease dripping down your chin.

Although we're good to go with a patty, a slice of cheese, and LTO on any old sort of bun, sometimes we're looking for a something more, something special in our burger consuming endeavors.

It could be a slice of bacon -- or two -- or, maybe even, a slab of pork belly.

Heck, sometimes we like to go for some seafood.

Point is, there are times when we want our burgers to be a bit more indulgent.

Here are the five most outrageous burgers in Palm Beach County.

5. Lindburger's Texas Topper

This local South Florida chain has been long-hailed as one of the best places to find a ground beef sandwich in Palm Beach County. With over 50 toppings to chose from, you can easily create your own overindulgent option; however, as the saying goes, "Everything's bigger in Texas." The Texas topper is served open face with a healthy dose of chili, shredded cheddar cheese, and grilled onions. There's no way you'll be able to avoid a nap after conquering that meaty beast of a sandwich.

4. RACK's Fish House and Oyster Bar's The New Englander

When it comes to gluttony, few things are less heart healthy than fatty ground meat and fried foods. This baby takes both of those components and presents them in one succulent and spicy handheld package. Rack's grass-fed burger is topped with crisp fried oysters, cheddar, lettuce, aioli, and fresh jalapenos. Your cardiologist will want to get you in for an emergency ECG, but, hey, at least you'll be getting plenty of iron.

3. Rebel House's The Rebel Burger

Michael Saperstein and Evan David are the chef-and-GM duo behind Deerfield Beach's highly regarded (rightfully so) Charm City Burgers and they certainly know a little something about compiling the perfect handheld ground beef meal. This Boca Raton spot follows the lead of its predecessor with one of the juiciest, most indulgent burgers around. For $13, the Rebel Burger comes with white American cheese, "Charm City" sauce, pickled tomato, and crispy onion on a sesame bun with a side of hand-cut fries or a salad. Fair enough. But for an extra 12 bucks, you can throw a piece of seared foie gras on top. It's Boca. Of course the burgers are high class.

2. Cheeseburgers & More's Two Pound Burger

Dietitians say its best to consume animal proteins in three ounce portions. This mammoth of a ground meat patty sandwich is more than ten times the size of the suggested serving. The bargain price of $24.95 gets you 32 ounces of ground meat sandwiches between two buns with your choice of toppings and fries, chips, or cole slaw. Good luck scarfing that one down!

1. Grease Burger Bar's The Grease Beast

We obviously love burgers and we're really big fans of bacon grilled cheese sandwiches. This monster of a sandwich combines both with lettuce, tomato, fried onion rings, ranch dressing, and cheese sauce. Blogger Jamie Frankel, the man behind Burgers by the Beach sampled the indulgent combo with a group of buddies.

"The true definition of a Fork/Knife burger," he says. "This 'beast' could not be tamed by just one person. Our crew ended up splitting it and enjoyed every bite."
