Food Truck Safari at the Palm Beach Zoo Rescheduled for July 27

Update: The food truck safari was rained out on July 13 -- as was most of South Florida -- and has been rescheduled for this Saturday, July 27. So if you thought you missed, out on food trucks and adorable animals, you were wrong.

People love food trucks. People love animals. People love going out on a Saturday night.

So why settle for any old food truck round up, when there's one that involves all three?

The food trucks are going on safari July 13 at the Palm Beach Zoo and you can go with them. Because who doesn't want to meet a koala while eating pizza? No one, that's who.

In cooperation with Food Truck Connection, several food trucks will be scattered throughout the zoo from 6 to 10 p.m. There will be beer and wine, in addition to live music from Sekond Nature and Medicine hat.

"The Palm Beach Zoo is very excited to join in on the Food Truck craze with the Food Truck Safari," Ron Brooks, event manager for the zoo. "You'll get to go on safari throughout the whole zoo looking for your favorite food trucks, and seeing all the exciting animals. It's another fun way to support your Palm Beach Zoo and it's open to all ages."

Handlers will be walking around with some of the more friendly zoo inhabitants for up close and personal animal encounters.

The trucks currently scheduled to attend:

  • Crazydilla
  • Mediterranean Grill of the Palm Beaches
  • PS561
  • The Daily Special
  • Hot Wheels Pizza (cash only)
  • Churrasco Grill
  • DOugh DOugh's Donuts
  • Paradise Shave Ice

The $10 admission and a portion of the food trucks proceeds will go to support the zoo and the work they do with the animals.

Palm Beach Zoo is located at 1301 Summit Blvd. in West Palm Beach. Call 561-533-0887 or visit palmbeachzoo.org.
