Sounds like Delaware Chicken Farm & Seafood Market (4191 N. State Rd. 7, Hollywood, 954-983-6831) should be located in, well, Delaware. But the rustic atmosphere of this old-fashioned country market makes me think Old South, which is precisely what Hollywood was 46 years ago, when this place opened. Almost a gold anniversary later, Chicken Farm is still offering fresh poultry at wholesome prices, not to mention whole catfish and large, succulent shrimp. The best product here just might be the eggs. They have a slightly stronger -- and better -- flavor than those that have been hanging around the supermarkets, which is exactly where you won't find me now that I've been to Delaware.
