The Seminole Casino Coconut Creek once again welcomes its alliterative celebration of gastronomic and musical indulgence when it hosts the fourth-annual Blues, Brews, and BBQ this week. Things get under way Wednesday with the outdoor cigar Smoke Out and tunes by Fort Lauderdale native Big Bill Morganfield, whose performance will mark the birthday of his late father, Muddy Waters.
Put on your game face for the Beer Fest tasting Thursday night -- rumor has it this is a place where you can do some serious suds sipping -- and blues by Michael "Iron Man" Burks.
Mark the end of the week with a barbecue competition and free concert by John Mooney and Bluesiana on Friday. Hardcore triple-b fans will get a day of revelry with beer and brews from 3 to 11 p.m. Saturday plus music by Janiva Magness, Tab Benoit and Anders Osbourne, and Voice of the Wetlands.
Tickets cost $65 on Wednesday and $35 on Thursday; the fest is free on Friday and Saturday. From 5 to 11 p.m. daily, except Saturday. Tickets available in advance at the casino or at the door.
