Memorial Day was founded to commemorate the men and women who lost their lives while serving the United States military.
Now-a-days, most of us celebrate by getting wasted on the beach or buying half-price
crap clothes at the malls. It's sad, but true.
If you're looking for another, family-friendly, all-American way to honor the holiday -- that still takes advantage of the many bargain offers to be had -- Hoffman's Chocolate is offering buy one, get one ice creams throughout the weekend, starting today.
The chocolatier is kicking off summer with a BOGO deal for ice cream. For any cone or cup purchased, guests get another cone or cup of equal or lesser value free, starting today and running through Monday.
There is, however, a kicker: you must shout (or scream, really) "I scream for ice cream," when you walk into the store.
"This is a kick off to the excitement of summer for everyone who loves ice cream and having the kids shout, 'I Scream For Ice Cream' is a fun way for kids to get excited about ordering it in the store," says Fred Meltzer, President of Hoffman's Chocolate. "Also, it is fun for parents because they get to save money with a Buy One Get One deal."
All of the Hoffman's homemade ice creams will be offered as part of the deal.
"The variety of flavors is different at each store," says Meltzer. "They all have your well-known favorites such as chocolate, vanilla, strawberry, mint, sugar-free, etc. And depending on location, you may also find Butterscotch Bomb, Stellar Coffee, Purple Haze, Birthday Cake, Superman, Kahlua Almond Fudge and other creative flavors."
The ice cream shop/chocolatier will be offering several events and specials throughout the summer. Stay tuned for details.
Hoffman's has locations throughout Palm Beach County, with shops in Greenacres, Boca Raton, Downtown Lake Worth, and Stuart. Visit hoffmans.com.
