Iron Fork and the official Miami Spice kick-off celebration is 7 p.m. tonight (6 p.m. for VIP) at the Adrienne Arsht Center in Miami and it's promising to be the foodie event of the summer (and no, we're not just saying that because it's our sister publication, Miami New Times' event).
Iron Fork features 45 of Miami's best restaurants, many of them participating in Miami Spice, the two month-long program that offers three-course lunch and dinner values at some of the toniest and priciest dining rooms in south Florida (which also happens to start today). VIP ticket holders will also enjoy fine wines of Chile, Bacardi cocktails, and Stella Artois at the Norwegian Cruise Line VIP lounge.
But, as entertaining as dining on fine chow is... there's more.
You're going to need a soundtrack to go with your food, so be sure to check out JUke, Aaron Lebos Reality, and Steve Acho performing live. In addition to the fine musicians gracing the stage, be prepared to be blown away by performances by Norwegian Cruise Line's cast of Legally Blonde: the Musical, who will present several live mini-shows during the event. VIP'ers can event get right up on stage with the cast.
And, don't forget the premiere Iron Fork event - the chef battle in which two of Miami's top chefs pit their skills and creativity against each other and the clock in a wild race to make the best meal using a mystery ingredient. This year, Jamie DeRosa (Tongue & Cheek, South Beach) and Giorgio Rapicavoli (Eating House, Coral Gables) will compete for the ultimate prize of Iron Chef (diamond tiara and sash not included).

If you don't have tickets, a limited number of general admission tickets are available at the door for $55, and a very limited number of VIP tickets available for $90.
