Health nuts and vegans in Davie have something to look forward to next week: Jugofresh, a Miami-based juice shops offering cold-pressed juices, smoothies, and raw food to go, will open in Davie.
The brand will celebrate the grand opening of its eighth shop, at Whole Foods Market off University Drive on Monday, April 18. To mark Jugofresh’s second store in Broward County, the company will throw a daylong event complete with in-store samplings and gift-card giveaways.
Jugofresh team members will also be on hand all day to walk customers through the updated menu while answering questions about ingredient sourcing and health benefits of the company's cold-pressed juices, nut mylks, smoothies, and plant-based raw foods. Part of that will include highlighting the store's latest menu additions, all-new offerings that include several hot tonics, a milkshake, raw-food items, and smoothie bowls.
Among them: the Turmeric Toddy, a blend of numeric, ginger, lemon, and honey served warm. The combination is considered a natural antibiotic and offers digestion-enhancing and anti-inflammatory properties. Or try the Sueño mylkshake, a frozen blend of cashews, coconut meat, cacao, dates, coconut water, vanilla extract, and Himalayan sea salt.
Even if you can't make it for the celebration, anyone who stops by the new store in the coming days will receive free samples from the new Jugofresh menu, available one week prior to the store's official opening.
"Whole Foods has been a wonderful partner to us, providing a great opportunity to expand our brand across South Florida," says Jugofresh CEO Matthew Sherman. "Our hope [is to] continue to strengthen that relationship through this opening."
Doors to Jugofresh Davie Whole Foods will open at 8 a.m. Monday, April 18. The first 50 customers in line will receive a Jugofresh gift card worth $12 to $500.
Jugofresh at Whole Foods Davie is located at 1903 S. University Drive, Davie. Visit jugofresh.com.
