Like many south Florida residents of a certain age, Mizner Park's Max's Grille is getting a  little "work" done.

The restaurant is undergoing a host of renovations in preparation for the 2012 fall dining season.

Changes and enhancements include new flooring, decorative columns, freshly painted walls with a new color scheme, and an upgraded display kitchen.

Fort Lauderdale's Manhas Design is spearheading the project for this

established Boca Raton dining venue, which is one of only two original

tenants still operating in Mizner Park since it opened in 2001.

The renovation starts early next week, which means that Max's Grille will close

on Monday August 27 for a month. The newly-redesigned restaurant will

reopen on Thursday, September 27.

Until then, fans of Dennis Max can visit Max's Harvest in Delray Beach.
