To sweeten the deal, many of these restaurants, such as Dune and Beach House Pompano, offer breathtaking waterfront views to heighten mom's level of zen. If your mom's an art lover, grab a complimentary mimosa for her at the Restaurant at the Norton in West Palm Beach. And if she's just looking for bottomless mimosas, bloody marys, or bubbly, treat her to a meal at Point Royal, Etaru, Grato, or Lona Cocina & Tequileria.

The special menu includes vanilla french toast, seared NY strip steak with truffled wild mushrooms, rosemary-roasted red potatoes, seared chicken breast with melon salsa, a cheese and charcuterie display, specialty salads, omelets, dessert, and chef-attended hot food stations. 11 a.m. to 3 p.m. Brunch costs $65 per adults and $14.95 for children ages 12 and under.

The Balcony, a New Orleans-inspired restaurant on Las Olas Boulevard, is offering a special four-course menu in honor of Mother’s Day. Guests will enjoy an array of delicious Cajun dishes such as fried green tomatoes, New Orleans jumbo crab cakes with holy trinity tartar sauce, lobster bisque with cognac cream, Mardi Gras peach & berry salad, and an eight oz. filet mignon with truffled dauphine potatoes and sautéed asparagus. For dessert, the Balcony will offer beignets with spiced chocolate sauce, house-made seasonal berry jam, and Valencia orange bourbon marmalade. Mothers will receive a complimentary glass of bubbly. 10:30 a.m. to 10 p.m. Cost is $49 for the prix-fixe menu.

Fort Lauderdale’s seaside restaurant at the Auberge Beach Residences & Spa invites moms to indulge in a lively "Sunday Brunch On The Beach," with delicious a la carte dishes served in the dining room on the beachfront terrace. Must-haves include the seafood toast with avocado, heirloom tomatoes, arugula, and a choice of Maine lobster, blue lump crab, smoked salmon, or shrimp ($17 to $22), huevos rancheros with chorizo casero and Oaxaca cheese ($14), Key West pink shrimp cachaca with tomatillo salsa, pico de gallo, avocado crema and scrambled eggs ($17), and prime skirt steak with yucca fries and creamy mojo ($31). Sweet treats include bread pudding French toast ($8) and savory cheddar jalapeño scones ($4). 11 a.m to 3 p.m.

Chef Clay Conley's Grato will celebrate moms all weekend-long with a roster of special brunches on Saturday, May 11 and Sunday, May 12. Highlights include chicken and hash brown waffle with sausage gravy and a fried egg ($16), breakfast pizza with ham, bacon, sausage, spinach, egg and fontina ($19), lemon ricotta pancakes with blueberries and cream cheese gelato ($12) and the fruity coconut waffle with pineapple, strawberry, rum, and vanilla gelato ($14). Guests may enjoy free-flowing libations ($19) with a choice of frosé, bloody marys, rosé, or blood orange mango mimosas. In addition, moms will be treated to a complimentary glass of frosé throughout the weekend. 11 a.m. to 3 p.m. Saturday, May 11 and Sunday, May 12.


One Seminole Way, Hollywood


Housed inside the Seminole Hard Rock, Japanese restaurant Kuro will offer special dishes on its Mother’s Day menu. Additions include seared duck breast with kabocha espuma, sautéed vegetables, and plum sauce ($28), soba noodles with sea urchin sauce and caviar ($26), and summer roll with tuna, yellowtail, and soy-marinated salmon ($18). To end your favorite lady's special day on a sweet note, order the chocolate sphere with soy caramel ice cream, lemon yuzu cake, and chocolate mousse for dessert ($12). 5:30 to 10:30 p.m.

Moms who love art will enjoy a visit to the Restaurant at the Norton Museum on Mother's day. The eatery offers a menu of light, modern American fare, and the a la carte brunch this Sunday will include a complimentary mimosa for mom. Special dishes include lemon ricotta pancakes made with whipped mascarpone, fresh berries and maple syrup ($15), smoked salmon benedict served with potato latke, poached eggs and hollandaise ($18), and shrimp with white cheddar grits ($24). The list of libations features the Norton Bloody Mary mixed with Tito’s Vodka ($13), rosé spritz ($9), and the Lavender Collins made with Hendrick’s Gin, house-made lavender syrup, fresh lemon, and sparkling water ($15). 11 a.m. to 3 p.m.
