Blues by the ocean with a side order of brewski and seafood is on tap for the coming Fourth of July, when Boston's on the Beach hosts its second-annual "Red, White & Blues Festival."
For four days, Friday through Monday, July 1 to 4, the Delray eatery on A1A will have three stages featuring more than two-dozen bands and some of the hottest blues musicians around, from Matt "Guitar" Murphy and Billy Gibson to Iko-Iko and J.P. Soars and the Red Hots. The Friday and Monday shows are free; tickets for Saturday and Sunday cost $20. You can purchase them and get a complete schedule of events here.
You can also bet there will be plenty of cold beer and hot food. Charlie will try to compile a list as the date gets closer.
