If you can't make it out to the Hard Rock this Sunday for the New Times-sponsored Rock N Roll Beer B Que, you may want to hit up the 1300 block of Las Olas Blvd for a "Ft. Lauderdale Fiesta Fabulosa," which sounds like an excuse to drink a bunch of tequila.

Rocco's Tacos Owner Rocco Mangel will be pouring free shots of Patron (never a bad thing) and

selling margaritas for $5, pitchers of margs for $15, and Coronas for only $3.

There'll be a DJ, a mariachi band, and local cover band The Edge to entertain you, if all that tequila doesn't do the trick.

Stop by anytime between 11:30 in the morning and 2 am. You'll be starting July 4 with a bang. And probably a few aspirin.

Keep New Times Broward-Palm Beach Free... Since we started New Times Broward-Palm Beach, it has been defined as the free, independent voice of South Florida, and we would like to keep it that way. Offering our readers free access to incisive coverage of local news, food and culture. Producing stories on everything from political scandals to the hottest new bands, with gutsy reporting, stylish writing, and staffers who've won everything from the Society of Professional Journalists' Sigma Delta Chi feature-writing award to the Casey Medal for Meritorious Journalism. But with local journalism's existence under siege and advertising revenue setbacks having a larger impact, it is important now more than ever for us to rally support behind funding our local journalism. You can help by participating in our "I Support" membership program, allowing us to keep covering South Florida with no paywalls.
