September 2016 Broward and Palm Beach Restaurant Openings and Closings

Summer's sweltering heat is almost over, football season has started, and the PSL is back at Starbucks. While September has come and gone, so, too, have a few South Florida restaurants.

Overall, the last few months have been great for the restaurant industry in Broward and Palm Beach Counties. North of the county line, several new establishments celebrated their official grand openings, including West Palm Beach's Meraki Juice Kitchen, from the creators of Christopher's Kitchen; long-awaited Junior's Restaurant in Boca Raton; and most recently, chef Clay Carnes' Cholo Soy Cantina, the latest addition to the new dining corridor on Dixie Highway in West Palm Beach.

Further south, barbecue and sushi lovers familiar with established concepts rejoiced at the opening of Orlando-based 4 Rivers Smokehouse in Coral Springs and Bento Cafe in Davie, the first South Florida locations of each. And craft beer lovers finally got a taste of the more than 30,000 beers at World of Beer in Plantation, a long-awaited opening.

And, of course, we're still really excited to welcome upcoming establishments like Rappy's (Boca Raton), Wawa (West Palm Beach, Pompano Beach), and the Poke House (Fort Lauderdale).
