Craft drinkers -- gird your loins and put your liver on notice, cause South Florida Beer Week is almost exactly one month away. The second annual celebration of homegrown and national craft beers kicks off on Saturday, January 19, 2013, and will wrap up with the seventh annual Jupiter Craft Brewers' Festival on Saturday, January 26. During the week, beer nerds can enjoy a range of brew-centric events from Miami to Jupiter, and everywhere in between.
Long-standing and popular events at Roger Dean Stadium are some of the most grandiose events that fall under the umbrella of South Florida Beer Week. Tickets have already sold out for the fifth annual Field of Beers scheduled for Friday, January 25 (there were only 375 of them, and they disappeared in quick order), but tickets ($31 each) remain for the Jupiter Craft Brewers' Festival, which will feature more than 100 craft beers from local and national brewers.
Elsewhere in Palm Beach and Broward counties events that week include: JA World Uncorked (Jan. 19), South Florida Brewery Bus Tour (Jan. 19), Cigar City Brewing Kick Off at Putt'in' Around (Jan. 20), Due South Brewing Co. night at Tap 42 (Jan. 21), local cheese and beer pairings at Total Wine in Palm Beach Gardens and Miami (Jan. 21), Cigar City tastings at Whole Foods Market in Fort Lauderdale (Jan. 22), Cigar City Brewing night at Tap 42 (Jan. 22), Tequesta night at Tap 42 (Jan. 23), local beer tasting and pairing at Whole Foods Market in Boca Raton (Jan. 24), Drink Like a Local night at Tap 42 (Jan. 24), Cigar City Treatment Night at BX Beer Depot (Jan. 24), and Hollywood Craft Beer Pub Crawl (Jan. 24). The schedule for South Florida Beer Week will be updated with more events as the week approaches.
