Around and around we go; today is the start to yet another lovely workweek. Hopefully, you have a bit of a spring in your step from some indulgent weekend activities. If not, don't fret, there's still plenty of events to keep you busy through your working days.
Whether you're looking to pop some bubbly, celebrate our fallen soldiers, or watch a bunch of folks try to make magic out of tequila, there's something to do in Broward and Palm Beach Counties this week.

Monday
Memorial Day Hot Dog Shack
Rather than dirty up your own grill this Memorial Day, let the folks at Whole Foods Market Pembroke Pines do the work. The store is offering hot dogs with onion rings and all the fixing for just eight bucks. The festivities start at noon.
Tuesday
Chicken of the Sea
Most home cooks will make chicken -- fish is a whole other story. On Tuesday at 7:30 p.m., the staff at Chef Jean-Pierre will be teaching guests how to make the chicken of the sea (or fish, really). The cost to attend is $70 per person.
Total Eclipse of The Art: Art For Space Nerds
Fans of retro diners and martian, rejoice! On Tuesday starting at 8 p.m., Howley's is hosting a space-themed art show and party. The event includes music as well as art and crafts set up in the front of the restaurant, including a booth by Second Star Wood Crafts. In addition to plenty of diner grub, the spot is serving $2 PBRs and $3 Astroshots. Costumes are strongly encouraged.
Wednesday
Meet the Wine Maker
They say it's important to get to know your farmer. But meeting your winemaker is a bit harder. On Wednesday from 3 to 5 p.m., Kim Crawford, winemaker from the New Zealand winery LoveBlock is visiting Whole Food Market in Boca Raton. He'll be offering samples and talking about his wines while signing bottles for shoppers.
National Hamburger Day
Burger month will be over at the end of this week (it takes place through the month of May). So you really should get your fix before it's over. Apparently, Wednesday is National Hamburger Day -- as if a month isn't enough already -- to celebrate Whole Foods Market in Palm Beach Gardens is grilling some ground meat patty sandwiches and vegetarian patties to benefit Forgotten Soldiers Outreach from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. Guests can get a burger and a drink for a $5 donation.
Wine Down Wednesday
We could all use a little wine to help wind down on humpday. Pistache French Bistro offers half off all wines (and 20 percent off champagnes and special reserves) every Wednesday night. All you need to do is purchase an entree, take a sip, and get yourself in the right headspace.
Thursday
Summer Wine Series
Summers in South Florida are freaking hot. You might as well console yourself with a nice, cool glass of wine. As part of its Summer Wine Series, Blue Moon Fish Co. is hosting a champagne tasting on Thursday night. Starting at 6:30 p.m. on the patio, the restaurant is serving a variety of Perrier Jouet and Nicolas Feuillatte sparkling wines. The cost to attend is $35, which also includes passed hors d'oeuvres.
Tequila Chopped: The Tequila Cocktail Contest
We've all watched cook-offs. Sure, they're fun, but sometimes you just want to get drunk. On Thursday at 7 p.m., it's time to watch a competition for one of the best consumables, ever. III Forks Prime Steakhouse and Cantina Laredo are hosting a tequila contest with a panel of local judges. The contestants will be given a secret ingredient and tasked with creating a cocktail in a limited amount of time. Attendees will also have the chance to win prizes.
Cigar City Beer Dinner
Join one of Florida's favorite breweries at one of Boca Raton's best new restaurants for a malty dinner on Thursday night. 13 American Table is hosting a four-course Cigar City dinner from 8 to 10 p.m. For $50 per person, sample dishes like Josper grilled shrimp and duck breast with special brews. Beers include White Oak Blueberry IPA, Puppy's Breath Porter, Mixed Berry Berliner, and Florida Cracker.
West Palm Beach Pairings
Eat your way through Downtown West Palm Beach on Thursday at the third annual Pairings event. Guests are invited to enjoy a progressive dinner across local restaurants, which will be offering light bites and paired bevies. The cost to attend is $30.
