Around and around we go; today is the start to yet another lovely workweek. Hopefully, you have a bit of a spring in your step from some indulgent weekend activities. If not, don't fret; there are still plenty of events to keep you busy through your working days.
Whether you're looking for some new beers to sample at a tap takeover, want to know where the party will be on Thanksgiving Eve, or head to the first Gay Days welcome party in Fort Lauderdale, there's something to do in Broward and Palm Beach counties this week.
Kick off the Gay Days Fort Lauderdale experience at the "Absolut-ly Fabulous Dance Party" following the city's Light Up the Beach event at Fort Lauderdale Beach's only ocean-view nightclub, Rock Bar. The party's co-sponsor (Absolut Vodka) will be on site distributing some schwag to all attendees from 7:30 p.m. to 10 p.m., and the restaurant will be offering 2-4-1 drink specials all night. The famous Gay Days has added yet another city to its annual events line-up, now in three major cities including Orlando, Las Vegas, and Fort Lauderdale. For more information on this event visit GayDays.com/Fort-Lauderdale.
You never need an excuse to visit Riverside Market in Fort Lauderdale, but this week we'll give you one more reason to go. On Tuesday, November 25, Saltwater Brewing will be having its very own tap takeover. You'll be able to try it all, from South End Session and Screemin Reels IPA -- and a few specialty brews made just for the event. You'll also have a chance to win a giftcard for some Saltwater schwag and beer.
On Wednesday, November 26, Cabo Flats in Palm Beach Gardens will host a charity event to benefit the Leukemia and Lymphoma Society from 3 to 7 p.m. A $15 suggested donation will include one complimentary drink, one free raffle ticket, and free chips, salsa, and guacamole with extended happy hour pricing to 7 p.m. Silent auction prizes include spa and hotel goodies, restaurant gift certificates, car detailing packages, golf for four, MedSpa treatments, and more. For this Cabo Cares event, all proceeds from the silent auction benefit local resident, Kelly Sudell, who is battling acute myeloid lymphoma; proceeds from the event will be used as a donation to the Leukemia and Lymphoma Society in Kelly's name.
It's one of the busiest night of the year to hit the town: Thanksgiving Eve. While restaurants everywhere will be offering deals on drinks and food, get the whole package with the party at Il Bacio in Delray Beach. Live entertainment will feature an opening set by Gio Black, followed by Miami Beach's Cocodrills. The restaurant will be closed on Thursday for Thanksgiving, but the party will be going all night long on Thanksgiving Eve when the bar honors its regular Thursday drink specials until midnight. That means ladies drink free (including beer, liquor, and wine), while guys get a deal with two-for-one drinks. Presale tickets are available now for $5. Call 561-235-9742, or visit the event website.
