Chances are you're pretty shattered from the weekend -- hopefully. Monday

"Boutique" Wine Tasting

In general, anything artisanal is going to be superior to mass produced crap -- except Ikea, of course. Starting Monday at 7 p.m., the Blind Monk will be hosting a tasting of boutique - i.e. better wines - focused on family-run, smaller estates. The cost to attend is $45 per person. Reservations required.

The Blind Monk is located at 410 Evernia St. in West Palm Beach. Call 561-833-3605, visit facebook.com/events/1383142011914815/, or email [email protected].

Social Beer Night

If you like beer and you like being social, you might want to head on over to the Coffee District on Monday night. Every week from 7 to 10 p.m., the shop brings craft beer geeks together to share rare brews and talk about the yeasty beverage. There is no cost to attend, except, of course, a big bottle of beer.

The Coffee District is located at 325 Northeast Second Ave. in Delray Beach. Call 561-455-0541, or visit mycoffeedistrict.com/.

Tuesday

Tastemakers

Sometimes narrowing down a place to eat is just too much of any effort. You can avoid all that decision making at Tastemakers in Mizner Park on Tuesday and Wednesday from 6:30 to 9:30 p.m. For $30 per person, participants get to sample food and cocktail pairings at several Mizner Park restaurants over the course of one or both evenings. Tickets are available through the website.

Mizner Park is located at 327 Plaza Real in Boca Raton. Call 561-362-0606, or visit miznerpark.com.

Craft Beer For a Cause

We all like drinking, but it's usually just a selfish endeavor that ends with a headache and extreme sense of guilt in the morning. If you're looking to at least nix the guilt part of the equation, Tap 42 is hosting a beer-drinking food drive on Tuesday. From 11:30 a.m. to 11 p.m., the spot is giving away one free draft for at least one can or package of nonperishable food to benefit the Pantry of Broward.

Tap 42 is located at 1411 S. Andrews Ave. in Fort Lauderdale. Call 954-463-4900, or visit tap42.com.

Don Julio Four-Course Pairing Dinner

Tequila is probably best known for insane evenings out on the town. In all those quick down the back of the throat shots you probably failed to notice that it can actually pair well with food. For those of you looking to savor your tequila rather than inhale it through a body shot, 50 Ocean is hosting a four-course Don Julio dinner on Tuesday night at 6 p.m. For $59 per person, chef Blake Malatesta will be serving up a number of seafood and land-based dishes each presented with tequila. Call for reservations.

50 Ocean is located at 50 S. Ocean Blvd. in Delray Beach. Call 561-278-3364, or visit 50ocean.com.

Whole Grain Goodness

Like pretty much every food that has ever been consumed, whole grains have their own month, and it's almost over. If you're looking for a way to get your fill while you still have time to celebrate, Whole Foods Market Boca Raton is holding a whole grain cooking class on Tuesday at 1 p.m. The course will explore delicious way to incorporate grain into your routine. The cost to attend is $10.

Whole Foods Market is located at 1400 Glades Road in Boca Raton. Call 561-447-0000, or visit wholefoodsmarket.com.

Wednesday

A Vegetarians Journey Through India

Many people complain that vegetarian food tastes like cardboard. While there probably is some that does, in fact, resemble the flavor profile of corrugated brown paper, Indian food, most certainly, does not. To help wannabe vegetarians or those just looking to expand their veggie repertoire, Publix Apron Cooking School is offering a vegetarian Indian cooking course on Wednesday at 6 p.m. The hands on class costs $40 per person.

Publix Apron Cooking School is located at 1181 S. University Drive in Plantation. Call 954-577-7632, or visit publix.com/aprons/.

Thursday

Pairings

We know how to throw a party over here at New Times -- and we obviously like to eat and drink. You should probably try to get in on our food and beverage action. On Thursday from 7 to 10 p.m., we're hosting our annual Pairings event, which features tons of food from local restaurants, interesting cocktails, and beer and wine from around the world. The cost to attend is $45 per person, $80 for VIP. This year's event is taking place at the Broward County Convention Center.

Broward County Convention Center is located at 1950 Eisenhower Blvd. in Fort Lauderdale.

Food Truck Invasion - Wellington Amphitheatre

If all invasions concluded with a full satiated stomach and happy taste buds, you wouldn't hear people complaining. If only, right? On Thursday from 5 to 9:30 p.m., Wellington Amphitheatre is hosting an invasion of food trucks. There is no cost to attend; food is available for purchase from individual trucks.

Wellington Amphitheatre is located at 12100 Forest Hill Blvd. in Wellington. Visit facebook.com/events/253706581419526.

The Art of Wine and Food Series

Good food and good art have a lot in common; both are made by creative individuals; and both can elicit deep emotions -- positive and negative. As part of its monthly food series, which explores the culinary arts, the Museum of Art Fort Lauderdale is hosting "The Wines of Alsace: Explore this Historic French Wine Region & Learn What Makes It Truly Unique!" on Thursday from 6:30 to 9:30 p.m. For $40 per person, guests get a lesson -- and tasting -- of Alsatian wines and food pairings.

The Museum of Art is located at 1 E Las Olas Blvd in Fort Lauderdale. Call 954-525-5500, or visit moaflnsu.org.

Hands On Mozzarella Making

Light, salty, and not stinky, mozzarella is probably everyone's favorite cheese. It's also one of the easiest to make. If you're looking for a new trick to impress dinner guests, or just entertain yourself, the Cheese Course is featuring a hands-on mozzarella making class on Thursday at 7 p.m. For $30 per person, the one-hour class will go over everything you need to know about DIY cheese taught by expert cheesemongers and fromagers.

The Cheese Course is located at 305 Plaza Real in Boca Raton. Call 561-395-4354, or visit thecheesecourse.com.

Due South Beer Dinner

It may have cooled down in the rest of the country, but in South Florida it's still hotter than hell; beer should be going down quite well. On Thursday at 7 p.m. Bistro Ten Zero One is hosting a Due South Beer Dinner. For $45 per person, guests get to sample four-courses all of which are being paired with locally produced brews. Reservations are required.

Bistro Ten Zero One is located at 1001 Okeechobee Blvd. in West Palm Beach. Call 561-833-1234, bistro1001.com.
