Surf N' Turf Chef Competition
Bahia Mar (801 Seabreeze Blvd., Fort Lauderdale) will host an interactive cookoff. Both luxury yacht chefs and local restaurant chefs will compete with their best-tasting foods. The interactive tasting and judging event is from 6 t o 8 p.m. Visit

Hyde Beach Kitchen + Cocktails Launches New Lunch Hours

Save dogs and simultaneously imbibe at Funky Buddha (1201 NE 38th St., Oakland Park). Attendees who donate $5 or more to the Coastal Boxer Rescue will get a wristband good for $1 off all drafts from 2 to 5 p.m. Guests can also bring in new or slightly used items for the shelter as well. Visit

Jaxson's 60th-Anniversary Celebration

Burger Bar (4650 Donald Ross Rd., Palm Beach Gardens) will celebrate the NFL season with $14 domestic beer buckets, $18 imported beer buckets, and appetizer specials.
