In case you hadn't noticed, football is kind of a big deal in the United States.
It's one of the few activities that brings together people of all ages, colors, genders, creed, shapes, and sizes for days of eating, drinking, and revelry.
As much as we love tailgating and going to actual games, there's no way in hell we're venturing north of the Florida weather to watch a game -- even if it is the Super Bowl.
We'd prefer to grab some beer, order in, and kick back with our other football loving fans in front of the big screen.
If you're looking to find some catering for the big day, we have a list of place places offering take-out for the big day.
Bogart's Bar & Grille, Boca Raton
If you're looking for a variety of options for your party, this Boca Raton eatery is offering a special Super Bowl menu including combos with sides like wings and sliders ($110) and ribs and sliders ($85), and a la carte options ranging from a crudite platter ($30) and hummus platters ($30) to a slider bar (20 for $10) to mini pizzas ($13). All orders must be placed by 4 p.m. Friday. Pick-up is from noon to 5 p.m. on Sunday. Call 561-826-1790.
PDQ, All Locations
Chicken wings are the item of choice for football games. Change it up a bit with PDQ's chicken tenders this year. Or just do both. The chain is offering a double deal for Super Bowl Sunday; buy 25 or more chicken wings and it'll double it for free.
RA Sushi, All Locations
Yes, it's a tradition, but wings and pizza are not good for your diet. Lighten up with some raw fish. RA Sushi is offering platters for $60 to $120; vegetarian platters are available.
Whole Foods Market, All Locations
For a one-stop beer and wings trip, all Whole Foods Market locations are offering a wing bucket promotion Friday through Sunday. A 54 ounce bucket, in atomic, barbecue, or buffalo sauce, is just $7.99. Custom six-packs of Colorado and Washington State brews are also available, including selections from Pyramid Breweries, Redhook Brewery, Great Divide Brewing Co., and Avery Brewing.
Miami Subs, All Locations
For a selection of traditional football grub -- wings, six foot subs, mozzarella sticks -- check out Miami Subs. The chain is offering 14 cookies gratis with an order over $50. For catering form, visit miamisubs.com/miami-subs-grill-catering
