Tax Day Specials in Broward and Palm Beach

Today is April 15, the annual deadline to file your income tax returns.

Though there's really no one who actually likes filing taxes (let's face it -- even if you get a refund, the fact that you have to save a shoebox of receipts each year is enough to kill any joy derived from the fact Uncle Same has decided to give you back some of your own money).

The only good thing to come from tax day?  The freebies and deals that some restaurants offer as a way to compensate the headache of it all. Here's a list of some of our favorite offers:

-RA Sushi in Pembroke Pines and Palm Beach Gardens is extending their happy hour for tax day. From 3 p.m. to close, choose from more than 35 sushi, appetizer,

and tapas selections ranging from $2.25 to $7.25, plus a wide variety of

beer, wine, sake, and signature cocktails ranging from $3 to $7.

-The Whale Raw Bar in Pompano Beach will take $10 off your $40 minimum check today. No coupon necessary -- just tell your server "I paid my taxes".

-The Hard Rock Cafe is offering any burger on the menu for $10.40 today. Just mention secret code "tax day secret menu" for the deal. Valid all day, April 15.

-Mention "Tax Free Tax Day" at any Brio Tuscan Grill location, and they'll deduct the tax from your check.

-Get a $5 order of bang bang shrimp from 4 p.m. to closing at any Bonefish Grill.

-Buy one Big Mac and get another for a penny at participating South Florida McDonald's restaurants.

-Go to Arby's website to print out a coupon for a free curly fries or potato cakes. Good on Tax Day only.

-Boston Market is offering a "Rib-Bate" where you can get two rib meals for $10.40 on

Monday. No coupon is necessary.

-Get two free Cinnabon Bites from 6 to 8 p.m. Monday at participating Cinnabon shops while supplies last.

-Get a pack of 18 Oreo Lil' Rounders for $10.40 at Carvel with Facebook coupon.
