Come Christmas Day, what will you be doing? Eating at home with loved ones, celebrating the holiday? Traveling home to see family and friends? Or wondering "What am I going to do all day long?" when everything shuts down?

While businesses everywhere shutter their doors for the day, a few stay open -- including restaurants. It's a blessing for those who don't celebrate the holiday, are culinarily inept, or simply prefer not to cook.

In South Florida, plenty of places stay open and serve throughout the day on December 25. And if it's dinner you're looking for, look no further than Clean Plate Charlie's list of restaurants serving Christmas Day dinner.

10. The Ironwood Grille

For those in Palm Beach County, the PGA National Resort & Spa's signature restaurant will be serving its contemporary American cuisine via a four-course, prix-fixe dinner at $60 per plate on Christmas Day this year. There will also be a full buffet brunch complete with a carving station in the resort's Bella Lago room. It will feature roasted organic turkey and prime rib. Dessert lovers, beware: A full buffet dessert station will also be center stage with a decadent array of tasty pastries, cakes, and pies.

9. Brewzzi

Barflies and bar food will be the motto of the day at Brewzzi, in both Boca Raton and West Palm Beach. They which will serve their regular menu 3 to 10 p.m. We're assuming they're looking to attract those who want to escape the madness at home or don't have anything special planned for this year's holiday. A refreshing pint of beer and some hearty comfort food? Yes, please!

8. 15th Street Fisheries & Dockside Cafe

Whether you arrive by boat, car, or reindeer-driven sleigh, they'll take you in at the 15th Street Fisheries, where you can have nothing but the freshest seafood and a waterfront experience for your Christmas Day dinner. This Fort Lauderdale marina restaurant located inside the city's landmark Lauderdale Marina is a great way to spend the holiday whether you're celebrating or not.

7. Henry's

Homestyle American food with a gourmet twist, Henry's in Delray Beach is a great spot for comfort classics that will probably be better than the overdone turkey or roast you get at home. Stay traditional with the turkey and mushroom meat loaf, or try a sesame-thyme-seared tuna steak for a healthy twist. With a robust wine list and diet-deadly dessert menu, the restaurant's regular offerings will give you plenty to choose from. Stop by from 5 to 10 p.m.

6. Steak 954

Steak 954 in Fort Lauderdale will be open from 5 to 9 p.m., and offer both its regular and special holiday selections. In the past, that's meant eggnog crème brûlée, pumpkin soup, and a prime rib special.

5. Vic & Angelo's

Italian. It could be what's for Christmas Day dinner. Both Vic & Angelo's locations in Palm Beach Gardens and Delray Beach will be open Christmas Day and will feature an à la carte special menu in addition to serving their usual fare throughout the evening. Call soon, as reservations are booking from 5:30 to the last seating at 9 p.m.

4. Graze

Leave it to any of South Florida's top resorts and hotels to guarantee a table for two -- or ten -- on major holidays, and the Four Seasons in Palm Beach is certainly not one to overlook. The restaurant, Graze, will be open Christmas Day from 4:30 to 10 p.m. with several seatings and offering à la carte menu. You can also opt for a special Christmas meal at $40 a plate featuring a special citrus-marinated roast.

3. Cafe Boulud

On Christmas Day, you can get both brunch -- served 11 a.m. to 2:30 p.m. -- and dinner from 5:30 to 10 p.m. Start Christmas Day off with a three-course brunch for $42 per person with selections that span hearty traditional breakfasts to savory luncheon courses prepared by chef Rick Mace, followed by delicious holiday-inspired desserts made by pastry chef Eric Snow. Or treat yourself and the family to a festive three-course Christmas Day dinner at Cafe Boulud for $85 per person. The menu selections include lamb chops, swordfish, and beef Wellington, while Snow's dessert selections include pistachio Buche de Noel, chocolate souffle, and apple tart.

2. Mai-Kai

On Christmas Day, we guarantee you won't be able to find a single more entertaining option than dinner and a show at Fort Lauderdale's Mai-Kai. The Polynesian restaurant -- famous for its stellar tropical drink menu and live Polynesian-style traditional dinner-and-dance performances -- will be open for business and conducting its regular showtimes. Check out the website for more information, and call ahead for reservations.

1. The Farmer's Table

This new Boca Raton establishment owned by hotelier Mitchell Robbins and chef Joey Giannuzzi is not only celebrating its conscious, affordable fare daily -- but now on Christmas Day, as well. What you'll get: only the freshest ingredients and whole foods -- much of which is sourced from local farmers. What you won't get: butter, cream, deep frying, or use of a microwave for any dish. The restaurant will be serving a prix-fixe meal from 3 to 8 p.m. beginning with an amuse bouche to toast the evening. Next up: soup or salad; choice of prime rib, turkey, or a vegetarian dish; and two options for dessert. The cost is $45 per person. Reservations are strongly recommended.
