If you're a pilot or flight attendant or just have a thing for little tiny liquor bottles and airplanes, come out to the Briny Irish Pub this Saturday, June 18, from 5 to 9 p.m. for "Aviation Industry Night."

The Briny will offer $1 drafts, $3 cocktails, and complimentary hors d'oeuvres as well as the opportunity to network with professionals in the aviation industry.

The Briny Irish Pub, located on the riverfront in downtown Fort Lauderdale, offers nearly 40 beers in bottles and on tap as well as a full dinner menu. The pub also features live entertainment nightly.

Here's your opportunity to hear some great stories, meet new friends, and maybe, finally, get a straight answer on why putting shampoo in tiny little bottles makes everyone safer in an airplane.

Briny Irish Pub, 214 SW Second Ave., Fort Lauderdale.

Keep New Times Broward-Palm Beach Free... Since we started New Times Broward-Palm Beach, it has been defined as the free, independent voice of South Florida, and we would like to keep it that way. Offering our readers free access to incisive coverage of local news, food and culture. Producing stories on everything from political scandals to the hottest new bands, with gutsy reporting, stylish writing, and staffers who've won everything from the Society of Professional Journalists' Sigma Delta Chi feature-writing award to the Casey Medal for Meritorious Journalism. But with local journalism's existence under siege and advertising revenue setbacks having a larger impact, it is important now more than ever for us to rally support behind funding our local journalism. You can help by participating in our "I Support" membership program, allowing us to keep covering South Florida with no paywalls.
