The Deerfield Wine & Food Festival kicked off last night with a Grand Tasting Launch Party, and will continue today with two events in Quiet Waters Park in Deerfield Beach.
If you're an early riser, the Jazz Blues Brunch is 10 a.m. to noon with the typical brunch offerings: scrambled eggs, fruit, cheese, pastries, etc., plus bloody marys and mimosas. Tickets are $35, cash only, at the door.
The Grand Tasting is 6 to 10 tonight with tasting stations that include dozens of local chefs, plus wine, beer, and liquor tastings. There also are demos by local chefs like Roy Villacrusis, Alex Forsythe, and Lenore Nolan-Ryan. Some of the restaurants that will be included in the tasting line-up include NYY Steak, Buddha Sky Bar, Oceans 234, El Jefe Luchador, JB's on the Beach, Wave 2700, and Biergarten, among many others.
Tickets to the Grand Tasting are $75, cash only, at the door. It's first come, first served for these events. VIP tickets are sold out. Head's up: A park entrance fee of $1.50 per person will apply, so bring a little cash.
