On Thursday, February 6, the entire nation will be celebrating its very own weird food holiday, National Frozen Yogurt Day.
Well, maybe the people freezing their butts off in the New England snow might not be, but here in South Florida -- where temperatures will reach the 80-degree mark all week -- we certainly will be.
To celebrate, here's three spots where you can find free frozen yogurt during the official National Frozen Yogurt Day.
This year the company celebrated its third-annual National Frozen Yogurt Day on Monday, rather than Thursday. But that doesn't mean you can't still get your free fro-yo on. In fact, Yogurtland has kind of turned it into a weeklong yogurt extravaganza. If you'd like to sign up for Yogurtland's Real Rewards program, those who register between February 1 through 7th will receive a free 6-ounce frozen yogurt at the Boynton Beach location. Just don't forget to ask for the special collectible spoon that changes colors when it becomes cold -- it was given out as part of the special promo Monday and may still be available to customers on the national holiday.
RaceTrac debuted its very own Swirl World as part of a new store prototype, which debuted in 2012. This new store model also features free WiFi, stacked exterior stone accents for a more modern look and feel, and indoor-outdoor seating. Swirl World offers 10 flavors and more than 40 toppings, including fresh fruit and candies. In celebration of National Frozen Yogurt Day, RaceTrac will be offering a free Swirl World frozen yogurt up to $4 on Thursday, February 6 from 4 to 7 p.m. Guests at all of RaceTrac's stores featuring Swirl World frozen yogurt bars will also be welcomed with free frozen yogurt, no coupon needed. To continue the celebration through the month of February, RaceTrac is also offering a special buy-one-swirl-world-get-one-free deal every Friday of the month. For more information visit the website, or call one of the several RaceTrac locations in Fort Lauderdale.
