Get your thumbs ready, because this Friday, July 15, New Times is hosting a tweet-up party at Rare

on Las Olas. Get the hookup for being a loyal New Times Twitter and social media follower (thumbs-up to you Facebook "Likers"!).

The top-secret password -- "New Times" -- will

grant you access to

this special event from 7 to 9 p.m. High-end appetizers, Bacardi Silver, and a

special "007" cocktail made with vodka will be

served (sporting Daniel Craig-inspired short-shorts is

entirely optional).

Bring your cell phone and you'll have a chance to win

a $125 gift certificate to Rare if you retweet a special phrase that will be

revealed at the event.

If you RSVP, it will guarantee you a spot should the event reach capacity. RSVP here: http://polls.browardpalmbeach.com/polls/bpb/tweetup-rsvp/

Don't forget to tweet this event to your friends. See you there!

Keep New Times Broward-Palm Beach Free... Since we started New Times Broward-Palm Beach, it has been defined as the free, independent voice of South Florida, and we would like to keep it that way. Offering our readers free access to incisive coverage of local news, food and culture. Producing stories on everything from political scandals to the hottest new bands, with gutsy reporting, stylish writing, and staffers who've won everything from the Society of Professional Journalists' Sigma Delta Chi feature-writing award to the Casey Medal for Meritorious Journalism. But with local journalism's existence under siege and advertising revenue setbacks having a larger impact, it is important now more than ever for us to rally support behind funding our local journalism. You can help by participating in our "I Support" membership program, allowing us to keep covering South Florida with no paywalls.
