No matter how you look at it, Valentine's Day is the worst day of the year.
If you're in a relationship, you're obligated to spend tons of money to prove to the person you're with that you love them. Let's be honest: you shouldn't need a holiday.
And for those who are unattached, it's pretty much a slap in the face.
Everyone is all off doing their lovey dovey couple things, and you feel pathetic and alone or relieved that you don't have to partake.
Either way, getting drunk is your best option for passing the day.
To help you on your quest of inebriation, we've compiled a list of singles parties for V-Day -- who knows, you might even pick up a date, or a fling.
Lovedrunk at Himmarshee Public House
Ladies: your nonexistent man may not be giving you anything for the holiday, but the folks at this downtown Fort Lauderdale bar are there for your needs. On Thursday night the spot is hosting ladies night with free drinks and music by DJ Supersede from 10 p.m. to close. You'll probably be thrilled to spend February 14 alone, with a scorching headache.
Think's Sexy Singles Pre Valentine's Day Party at Thasos Taverna
On Wednesday from 6 to 8 p.m., this Fort Lauderdale chic Greek spot is trying to find you a date for V-Day. Professional matchmaker Kelly Leary of Precision Dating will be onsite trying to hook you up with a suitable suitor while you sip Perrier Jouet Champagne, Absolut Elyx vodka, and Avion tequila and snack on passed hors d'oeuvres. Call 954-800-0102 ASAP to RSVP. Space is limited.
Sexy Singles Valentine's Party at Martini Bar at Gulfstream Park
Rather than sit alone on your couch with a pint of Ben & Jerry's, go out and meet other singles looking to mingle. This Hallandale spot is bringing together singles on the holiday of love. Starting at 9 p.m., it's offering live music, food and drink specials, and a wide range of uncommitted individuals between 30 and 50. RSVP to Destiny Events to get the meetup wristband for the deals.
Pre-Valentine's Day Drinks and Dinner at Top of the Point
With panoramic views of West Palm Beach, this high-rise spot is hosting a singles meetup event on Thursday at 7 p.m. Guests are invited to stay for dinner or just to grab a few drinks.
