Vegan Potluck Party and Storytelling at Sweat Records Saturday

Whether it involves sifting out the gravelish bits of ham hock from "meatless" baked beans or finger flicking the bacon bits from the community salad, holiday potluck parties can be disappointing and dodgy territory for vegans. This is why, if there's ever a time when vegans can get together for a potluck of our own, it's cause for breaking out the Tupperware and trekking the distance...even when it means to another county. This Saturday, December 18th, Miami's indie record shop Sweat Records will host a vegan potluck starting at 7 p.m.

Everyone is invited to bring a vegan dish (anything free of animal products, although chili and breakfast items always score big). Directly following the feast, guests can settle in for the 14th installment of the live storytelling experiment, Pure Imagination. Writer Matt Gajewski will be joined by his band Mountain Dew Code Red Terror Alert. Sweat Records is located at 5505 N.E. Second Avenue, Miami.
