Although Clean Plate Charlie is the only food blog you need to read every day, some people just can't get enough. Here are some highlights of other local food blogs worth checking out.

Fat Kids Club, aside from having an awesome name, also have a hell of a great idea for their blog: feed your inner child and forget all that "healthy" nonsense. Take this recipe for example: Grandma's Homemade Mac 'n Cheese. Simple and delicious.

We haven't checked in with the good folks over at the Burger Beast in quite a while, so we've all been missing out. Not only is the site sporting a spiffy redesign, but they're hitting up Tarpon Bend to review the Blue Smoke Burger.

The Chowfather is keeping us all informed on the greatest things happening in local food. This post makes it uber-local by highlighting how to get some of the best food in America delivered right to your door. Nothing like mail order food to make you feel like a true glutton.

Worst Pizza is continuing their quest for the perfect pie, but this time they're making it themselves. Their inaugural pizza cook off took place at Anthony's Coal Pizza in Aventura. Check out the story, complete with video here.

Finally, a non-local food blog definitely worth checking out this weekend is Lick My Spoon. Recently returning from an extended hiatus, they're making up for lost time with posts like this one on Saigon Street Food. Mmmmm balut...

Keep New Times Broward-Palm Beach Free... Since we started New Times Broward-Palm Beach, it has been defined as the free, independent voice of South Florida, and we would like to keep it that way. Offering our readers free access to incisive coverage of local news, food and culture. Producing stories on everything from political scandals to the hottest new bands, with gutsy reporting, stylish writing, and staffers who've won everything from the Society of Professional Journalists' Sigma Delta Chi feature-writing award to the Casey Medal for Meritorious Journalism. But with local journalism's existence under siege and advertising revenue setbacks having a larger impact, it is important now more than ever for us to rally support behind funding our local journalism. You can help by participating in our "I Support" membership program, allowing us to keep covering South Florida with no paywalls.
