Although Clean Plate Charlie is the only food blog you really need to read daily, some people just can't get enough. Here are some highlights of other food blogs, this time with a focus on July 4 themed posts:

Taste of Home has a list of their top ten Patriotic Dessert Recipes. The Patriotic Trifle looks absolutely incredible.

Epicurious tasked grilling god Steven Raichlen with finding the best barbecue in the U.S. and he's come back with some great recipes to use at home.

101 July 4th is not by any means a fancy website, nor are the recipes complicated, but they're fast, they're easy, and more often than not, they look like perfect picks for those in a hurry.

A new twist on an old classic: Global Gourmet has a hint for those looking to make some pulled pork for the holiday: Try putting Mint Julep sauce to change things up.

Finally, If none of the above sites help you out, BHG has an extensive list of recipes for every occasion.

Keep New Times Broward-Palm Beach Free... Since we started New Times Broward-Palm Beach, it has been defined as the free, independent voice of South Florida, and we would like to keep it that way. Offering our readers free access to incisive coverage of local news, food and culture. Producing stories on everything from political scandals to the hottest new bands, with gutsy reporting, stylish writing, and staffers who've won everything from the Society of Professional Journalists' Sigma Delta Chi feature-writing award to the Casey Medal for Meritorious Journalism. But with local journalism's existence under siege and advertising revenue setbacks having a larger impact, it is important now more than ever for us to rally support behind funding our local journalism. You can help by participating in our "I Support" membership program, allowing us to keep covering South Florida with no paywalls.
