At Real Men Bake for the Rescue on Monday at the Sundy House, it was clear that the season has officially begun. A packed house gobbled down a buffet of salads, sides, and entrees, saving room for a bevy of sweets. An army of toffee, peanut butter cookies with chocolate Hershey's kisses, chocolate chip cookies, fudge cake, and cupcakes aligned tables, all baked to benefit Fidos in need of homes.
But the real delectables were the people, from decked out gold diggers, proud pastry chefs, old guys with their flies open, ladies in their fanciest animal print dresses, and a potential body builder. This oversold event to benefit Dezzy's Second Chance Animal Rescue was a feast for the eyes and palate.
