What’s a well-done pizza mean to you? A bit of char at the bottom? Melty, bubbling cheese with a fine film of smoked-in flavor across the top? A nice crunch when you bite into it?
At Anthony’s Coal Fired Pizza, it means cooking pies in a specialty, 800-degree anthracite coal burning ovens known to be the “cleanest” of coals, burning smoke free with extremely high heat to create a unique taste and perfect pies. It’s become a sort of slogan for Anthony’s — pizza “well-done” — whose family of restaurants has quickly expanded from Florida across New England in states like Connecticut, New Jersey, Pennsylvania and New York.
To celebrate, Anthony’s Fort Lauderdale — the first location — will be hosting a special beer pairing dinner, the first of its kind.
