If RuPaul were still in high school, guarantee he’d want to be in Broward County — now Florida’s largest school district has added “gender identity and expression” to its nondiscrimination policy.
With its unanimous vote Tuesday, the Broward County School Board became one of the first school districts in the state to protect the LGBT community by adding to its antibullying policy, meaning that students, teachers, and school district employees are protected

from any form of gender-based discrimination.
While school districts nationwide grapple with gender identity issues and struggle to regulate cross-dressing dress codes,
Broward County students are now free to do as they please. So if a guy
wants to wear a dress and wig to class, let him. As long as he’s not
wearing a bedazzled Affliction T-shirt, who can complain?
