Four top toques, including the latest gastronomaestro to pull up to the stove in our fair city, will demo and dish the fruits (and meats and produce) of their culinary labors to celebrate the ninth anniversary and reopened Lifestyle Center of the Fort Lauderdale Whole Foods Market.

Mark Militello, now chef at Trina Restaurant & Lounge, will demonstrate and prepare dinner for eight lucky (and pro-active) diners on Thursday, July 29, beginning at 6:30 p.m.

That afternoon, starting at noon, former Top Chef contestant and chef-owner of Lauderdale’s Hi-Life Café, Carlos Fernandez, will do the same for lunch. Menus, sadly, are still TBA.

At noon on Friday, July 30, 3030

Ocean sous chef Jeremy Ford does the lunchtime demo ‘n’ dish thing,

preparing Humboldt Fog goat cheese and herb tart with summer tomatoes

and crispy basil; roasted striped bass with sunchoke purée and

escabeche vinaigrette; and napoleon of passion-fruit curd, mango,

Related

strawberry, and basil.

The evening feast comes courtesy of Himmarshee

Bar & Grill exec chef Chris Miracolo and kicks off at 6:30 p.m.

On the menu are blue-cheese-stuffed dates with applewood-smoked bacon,

Related

maple vinaigrette, and watercress; herb-roasted diver scallops;

coffee-crusted all-natural ribeye with red bliss potatoes with tasso,

smoked Gouda, and Swiss Chard. Each lunch costs $10, and dinners are

priced at $25.
