Swagga Nights, going down on the last Friday of every month at Pulp Live, is the newest place for aspiring artists of all genres to meet up and showcase their talents. Whether it’s jazz, rock, rhythm and blues, or reggae, Swagga Nights reps it, even finding stage time to showcase local poets, comedians, and musicians. It all comes together to form an independent showcase of what the Broward scene has to offer.

While Swagga Nights has the feel of a riotous club night, you won’t find Flo Rida or Rick Ross in the building. Instead, expect an intimate look at up and coming local talent, some working tirelessly to make an imprint in their respective field, others just elated for any chance to let the community hear their voice.

Pulp Live is at 2674 E. Oakland Park Blvd. in Fort Lauderdale. Doors open at 10 p.m., and cover costs $10. For more information, visit pulpliveonline.com.
Last Friday of every month, 10 p.m. Starts: July 31. Continues through Dec. 31, 2009
