Memorial Day is a somber time to silently reflect on and remember those who made the ultimate sacrifice in making America safer. Or, as most Americans describe it: WOOO HOOO LET’S GO GET WHITE GIRL WASTED!! But, freedom is freedom, so no matter how much booze you plan on consuming this Memorial Day Weekend here are two things you should keep in mind:

1. Don’t drink and drive and
2. AAA is offering free towing through the entire weekend into Tuesday.

As it does with every major holiday where drinking is the central theme, the auto club is offering its free Tow-to-Go service to anyone too drunk to drive home from wherever they are in Florida beginning Friday all the way up to 6 a.m. Tuesday.

“Memorial Day weekend is a great time to spend with family and friends,” says Gerry Gutowski, Senior Vice President, Automotive Services, The Auto Club Group. “Please keep those special people in mind by not letting them drive impaired.”

Aside from the rides being free, they're also confidential, and the service is available for both AAA members and nonmembers. And yes, nonmembers, it's free for you as well.

AAA's Tow-To-Go service offers local rides within a ten-mile radius to a safe location. It's a service the club has been providing on select dates, where people are more prone to go out drinking, since 1998.

So, if you've had just about enough of the beach, or the bars, or all the drunk bros, just be sure to have a plan to get home safe. If not, you can join the 23,000 other people who have taken advantage of the service and dial 855-2-TOW-2-GO (or 855-286-9246 if you're too drunk to attempt spelling).

And your car will come along with you, which is better than leaving it at the party overnight.

So be safe, have fun, and don't drink and drive. You officially have no excuse.

Enjoy the long weekend. And, seriously, take some time to do what Memorial Day was actually meant for before you go out to get sloshed.
