Still no word on exactly why Benjamin Schwartz gunned down his two neighbors on Friday before killing himself, but an investigation of the case confirmed that particular chain of events. From the Broward Sheriff's Office release:

Ballistics tests done on evidence collected from the two adjacent condominium units confirmed the scenario, though it's still unclear what prompted Mr. Schwartz to kill Vincent Cairoli, 77, and Ed White, 67.

BSO deputies went to the building just after 8:30 p.m. after a relative of Schwartz called to request a welfare check. When they arrived, a neighbor who lived directly below Cairoli and White told deputies he had heard a loud sound from their condo. Deputies discovered their bodies first. BSO's SWAT then entered Schwartz's condo, where they found him dead.

Anyone with information about these homicides can call Det. Tim Duggan at (954) 321-4210 or report it anonymously to Crime Stoppers of Broward County at (954) 493-TIPS.
