No. 67: Lobster Bomb from Galanga

In the two camps of sushi dishes, there's the clean, simple sashimi style, often nothing more than a shard of raw fish. Then there's the junk food of sushi -- the sauce-drenched roll with something fried inside. Galanga's lobster bomb is certainly in the latter category, but it's also certainly one fantastic roll. It includes a tempura-style lobster tail, tempura flecks, scallion, masago, and spicy mayo draped over the top. On the side: the tail shell with another tempura-battered tail.
