The alternative art gallery UNCOMMON Stock sports an off-the-wall collection of fine art and photography, but its goal is pretty communal: to get more people interested in art. And Michael D. Colanero, the proprietor of UNCOMMON Stock, may be the man to do that — he's a nationally recognized artist, illustrator, and designer. “I'm building so much more then just a gallery here," says Colanero. "I'm building a community of creatives and those that appreciate and support their work.”

UNCOMMON features between 10 to 15 artists per month in a new exhibition, which is kicked off at the Gallery Night, held the second Friday of every month. This month's gallery night goes down Friday at 6 p.m., and will feature live music, complimentary wine and munchies, and, of course, plenty of new art. You'll even get a chance to canoodle with the artists and get your prints signed. And if you’re stuck at home and can’t get to the gallery, simply log on to their website - the event is streamed live via webcam. The best part? All of UNCOMMON's monthly events are free.
