A Short and Sweet Stage Production

In a nation of short attention spans, brevity rules. The creative minds behind "BOXer Shorts 2" are well-acquainted with the notion of less being more. The theatrical showcase features six original, ten-minute plays written by Palm Beach PlayMakers' members Lisa Banket and Todd Caster. The first "BOXer Shorts" -- so named because boxes are used to quickly create new staging between each play -- was a sellout when it debuted in December. This round includes new works that depict everything from a friendly battle of wits to a career soldier grappling with a lifetime of death. Stick around after the show for a question-and-answer period with the performers, writers, and directors. "BOXer Shorts 2" takes place at 2 p.m. Sunday (plus 2 and 7 p.m. Saturday) at the Delray Beach Playhouse, located at 950 NW Ninth St. in Delray Beach. Tickets cost $10; reservations are available.
