Over time, the moviegoing experience has certainly changed. In the ’50s, it was all about taking your sweetheart to the drive-in theater. Nowadays, we burn our retinas while watching IMAX movies. Every now and then, it’s nice to break away from the typical movie-theater experience — especially when the tickets there are a whopping $10 apiece. On Saturday night, the folks at C&I Studios (541 NW First Ave., Fort Lauderdale) invite locals to take part in its first movie night. For the inaugural event, Back to the Future will be broadcast on a 30-foot projection wall. The event begins at 8 p.m., and the cost is a mere $1. (Take that, Muvico!) Bring a blanket, pillow, or any sort of comfy seating. There will be candy, popcorn, and refreshments available for purchase. Movie night will be a regular happening, occurring on every first Saturday of the month. Visit facebook.com/cistudios.
