Many say that a walk a day keeps the doctor away. And art is supposed to stimulate the mind. Add a little laughter to burn some calories and now you've got yourself a great little workout. So maybe you'll still have to hit the gym, but an evening stroll through the FATVillage Art Walk in Fort Lauderdale might just be what the doctor ordered.
Whether you're an artist or an art lover, you'll enjoy strolling through the open art galleries and artist's studios. Make sure to visit Projects South to see Peter Symons' exhibit titled "In the Woods," which explores ideas of object relationships. And don't forget to stop by World and Eye, where you can check out the "Concepts of Healing" exhibit, along with "100 Thousand Poets for Change," an international day of hope and resistance, with original poems and music about social issues.
