Art, Music, Wine, And Weed

What did you plan to do this Thursday night now that American Idol is over? Pluck your eyebrows and wash your pet ferret in the sink? Don’t waste your time. Instead go mingle with some oenophiles at "The Fine Art of Wine," a benefit for ArtServe and The Art & Culture Center of Hollywood. Taking place at Seminole Paradise (1 Seminole Way, Hollywood) from 6 to 8 p.m., this event combines an international wine tasting, live jazz concert, and art exhibit under the stars.

Mixed-media artist Deborah Weed is this year’s featured guest, FYI. (The event also serves as the kick-off for a weekend buy-in charity poker tournament being held in the Poker Room, so don’t blow all your dough on vino and art.) Tickets cost $35 in advance or $45 day of and include a complimentary commemorative wine glass. All proceeds will benefit ArtServe and the Art & Culture Center of Hollywood. Call the former at 954-462-8190 or the latter at 954-921-3274, or visit
