Ay, Chihuahua!

It’s a food product! It’s a dance! It’s a festival! Bring your appetite, party shoes, and fastest little doggie to partake in SalsaFest (a.k.a. all the tomato chunks and cilantro you could ever desire). Salsa cook-offs, dancing competitions, domino tournaments, and a Chihuahua race will be held, along with other entertainment, like rides and games, and even a concert by Grammy-nominated hottie Frankie Negrón. Check out the spicy scene from noon to 10 p.m. at Greenacres Community Park (2095 Jog Rd., Greenacres) with the purchase of a $5 - $8 ticket (no charge for children under 10). Call 561-790-6200, or visit www.salsafest.com.

KEEP NEW TIMES BROWARD-PALM BEACH FREE... Since we started New Times Broward-Palm Beach, it has been defined as the free, independent voice of South Florida, and we'd like to keep it that way. With local media under siege, it's more important than ever for us to rally support behind funding our local journalism. You can help by participating in our "I Support" program, allowing us to keep offering readers access to our incisive coverage of local news, food and culture with no paywalls.
