“Nah, I’m just kidding,” the voice reassures, “It’s Bobby Slayton!

Okay, that makes sense – he’s a comedian. However, this guy’s not the typical “weekend comic” whose sense of humor only exists for the stage. There’s a reason Slayton is called the “Pit Bull of Comedy,” and it’s because of his fierce, rapid-fire style. That, and his penchant for offending people, as anyone who saw The Aristocrats can attest. Slayton’s latest cinematic stint is playing an insult comic in the upcoming Eddie Murphy flick Dreamgirls. And yes, he keeps his pants on. Slayton performs Thursday through Saturday at the Improv Paradise Live (5700 Seminole Way, Hollywood). Tickets cost $15.90 to $18.02.
