Come to think of it, there is somewhere else where all those things happen: the movies. Yep, good cinema serves as a direct conduit into our emotions. So it's fitting that Sunday night, you can watch two deeply emotional films in -- of all places -- a bar. Come check out Stage 84 (9118 W. State Road 84, Davie) as it hosts its second-ever Indie Film Night.
The first film on the docket is Broken Flowers, Jim Jarmusch's poignant tale about a ladies man (Bill Murray) who finds himself alone after a lifetime of lovers. Stick around afterward for the opposite emotional spectrum in Monty Python and the Holy Grail. That way, when you leave the bar in tears of laughter, you can tell everyone, "It's only a flesh wound!"
The films start at 6 p.m. sharp. A $10 cover gets you one drink (beer, wine, or soda) and another movie must -- popcorn. Visit vaughnreynolds.com.
