Crafty V-Day

Every relationship is different: Many couples like to go out for long, romantic dinners; others prefer spending time outdoors; some just want to sit on the couch. The coolest twosomes, however, like to drink craft beer. This Valentine’s Day, Due South Brewing Co. is knocking off two holiday lovebirds with one stone with its Craft Brew Craft Fair. From 1 to 4:30 p.m., local artists and crafters will descend upon the brewery with their handmade creations just in time for the celebration of love. Find a wide selection of goods, from original photography and paintings to pottery and woodcrafts to jewelry and homemade desserts — it’s the perfect chance to buy your sweetie something he or she actually wants. To go along with the special festivities, the brewery is tapping special releases of its Caramel Latte and Chocolate Cherry Stout. Free tours of the brewing facilities will be conducted at 1 and 3 p.m. A special VIP tour and tasting takes place at 2 p.m. It’s $10 to join, and reservations for that circuit are highly suggested. Also, to satiate your V-Day sweet tooth, Due South is hosting a Girl Scout Cookie pairing from 2:30 to 5:30 p.m., with three beers and three cookies for $6.50, $1 of which will be donated to the Girl Scouts. BC Tacos will be onsite from noon to 5 p.m., followed by the Minivan Food Truck from 1 to 6 p.m. Due South Brewing is located at 2900 High Ridge Road, Suite 3, in Boynton Beach.
