Electronic Dating

“Talking to girls…and touching a boob.” If dating were only as simple as this brief description of Alex Richanbach’s film Stealing Second. In an age when texting and e-mailing are legitimate forms of communication, how do we know when someone is being casual or formal. We used to listen to a person’s tone or read his or her body language, but now we’ve got to decipher word choice, punctuation choice, case. And to be frank, we’re not all wordsmiths or grammar gods. What's a person to do? Stealing Second, which was an Official Selection at the NYC Downtown Short Film Festival, the Beverly Hills Short Film Festival, the Palm Beach International Film Festival, and Cannes Short Film Corner, attempts to convey the quirky burden of technology on an already awkward world of dating.
