By divine providence, May 6 falls on a Sunday this year, meaning Cinco de Mayo can be celebrated to the fullest extent of cinco de mayhem, safe in the knowledge that you’ll be treated to a day of recovery after the insanity. Go deep into the madness at the Third-Annual Cinco de Mayo Street Festival on Saturday at Tulum Mexican Grill & Bar. The fiesta will include an open bar with access to all-you-can-guzzle premium drinks and dishes from Tulum's kitchen. And in case all that tequila doesn’t have you frantically searching for the Tums at 4 a.m., sign up for the hot-sauce-eating contest sponsored by Florida hot sauce company Hot and Tasty. With live music, a mariachi band, and tunes by DJ Germain, you'll be able to show off the dance skills afforded to you by consuming endless margaritas. Tulum Mexican Grill & Bar is located at 14395 Miramar Parkway, Miramar. The festival is 4 p.m. to 1 a.m., and tickets cost $40 to $50. Call 954-437-9989, or visit itulum.com.
Sat., May 5, 4 p.m.-1 a.m., 2012
