There are occasions for which news releases ought speak for themselves, and this is one of them: “All the happiness there is in the world arises from wishing others to be happy. Yet whenever we are unhappy, we always feel that we are the most important. This self-centered mind, not external things, is the real source of all our suffering.” This sounds both wonderful and true, which is why you should not only go to this series of meditation classes, Happiness From a Different Source: Exchanging Self With Others, but you should pay for someone else’s admission as well. Their true happiness inside their own heart will make you happier than your own happiness ever could. The class is taught by Kelsang Norbu at Drolma Buddhist Center (140 W. Prospect Road, Oakland Park) every Thursday in April. Each class is $10, or you can pay $30 for the lot. Visit meditationinfortlauderdale.org, or call 954-537-9191.
Thursdays. Starts: April 12. Continues through April 26, 2012
