Audiences may gawk from a number of vantage points along the route. And gawk they shall, as the competing watercraft are said to be bizarre. Further details are not forthcoming, but the names of the participating teams suggest a charmingly irreverent approach to watersports. Show up from 9 to 10:30 a.m. to interact with the athletes, and then cheer them on — Team Cojones! Team Dances With Moose! Swamp Donkeys! Boats’n’Hoes! — and stare at the judges, including professional wakeboarder Steel Lafferty. There shall be food and drink and merch along the route, as well as viewing screens.
