In its second iteration, America’s Backyard’s monthly First Friday Street Festival comes festooned with Yuletide cheer, just in time for the holiday season. Vendors and artisans alike will be lining the street directly outside the open-air downtown venue as well as inside its doors. Kids of all ages are encouraged to attend this family-friendly event, held at a spot that is usually reserved for adult merriment. America’s Backyard is teaming up with KISS Country, 99.9 FM, for this event too; the famed local country station is presenting live musical acts. One of note is T.J. Cronin, a Fort Lauderdale-born and -bred crooner who is destined to be the next Luke Bryan. And the finger-licking delights of the Georgia Pig BBQ and Restaurant will on hand to help attendees recharge from all the shopping and country twanging. All the festivities take place from 6 to 8 p.m. Friday at America’s Backyard, located on 100 SW Third Ave. in Fort Lauderdale. Free to attend. Visit myamericasbackyard.com, or call 954- 449-1025.
